Brooks Applauds 2015 Service Academy Appointees

Huntsville, AL –Throughout the past few weeks, Congressman Mo Brooks (AL-05) has held four ceremonies in honor of the 2015 U.S. Service Academy appointees from Alabama’s 5th Congressional District.  Thirteen outstanding men and women were selected to represent North Alabama at the Air Force Academy, the Naval Academy, Merchant Marine Academy, and West Point.

Congressman Brooks established a nominating board to review applications, interview prospective candidates and make final selection of Alabama District 5 nominees to be submitted to the academies. Nominations are determined using the competitive method with all nominees submitted unranked to the Academies, allowing equal opportunity for each candidate nominated from the district.
